Our firm handles all types of residential and commercial
real estate transactions including, but not limited to, purchases, including new
construction, sales, refinances and reverse mortgages.
Purchases: We assist buyers in the review and negotiation of contracts;
we explain the contract to closing procedure and we are available throughout the
process to answer any questions the buyers may have and assist in resolving any
issues that may arise. We obtain and review all title work necessary to provide
marketable title to the property. We fully explain any mortgage documents in
detail at the closing and we record all necessary title documents on the land
records.
New construction: In addition to our purchase services noted above, we
assist in the revision of the builder’s contract to protect the buyer’s rights.
We fully explain every contract provision and we advise the buyers on the
various issues associated with new construction.
Refinances: We order and review all necessary updated title work
necessary to close with the borrower’s lender. We order and payoff all of the
borrower’s existing mortgages. We explain all mortgage documents in detail at
the closing and we record arrange for the release of any old mortgages and
record the new mortgage on the land records.
Reverse Mortgages: We travel to the home of the borrower at a time and
date convenient to the borrower. We take the time to review the documents with
the borrowers and set their minds at ease about the reverse mortgage program.
We do not leave the borrowers’ homes until they are comfortable in their
knowledge of the transaction. We arrange for the payoff of any existing
mortgages and liens and we record the new reverse mortgages on the land
records. Copies of all of the documents and my contact information are always
left with the borrower in case they have any further questions. |
